The Science Behind Real Relief
How heat, light and motion work together
Knee stiffness rarely comes from the joint alone. The muscles, tendons and soft tissue around it tighten, lose circulation and ache, too. The device uses three different kinds of input at once, so each one covers something Heating Pads, Ice Packs and Massage guns alone could not.
The Wavelengths That Do the Work
630nm — Red Light
1300nm — Deep Infrared
Visible red light
Deep infrared (beyond visible)
Going deeper: A wavelength is simply the “type” of light, measured in nanometres (nm). Shorter wavelengths like red light interact mostly with the outer layers of the skin and tissue. Longer infrared wavelengths are invisible to the eye and are felt as warmth.
◯ 630nm Red Light Therapy
Red light in the 630 nanometer range falls within the spectrum most commonly studied for its effects on circulation and surface-level tissue response, supporting the body’s own recovery process at the joint.
Going deeper: Red light in this range is often called photobiomodulation. The idea is that cells can absorb the light and respond, which researchers have studied in relation to local circulation and tissue recovery. Red light is absorbed within the first few millimetres of tissue, so its role is the outer layers of the knee area, while heat and vibration work alongside it. Research on red light for joint discomfort is still developing and results vary from person to person, which is why we describe it as supportive, not as a cure.
♨ 1300nm Deep Infrared Heat
Longer infrared wavelengths, like 1300nm, are used in thermotherapy to generate gentle warmth beneath the skin’s surface, increasing local blood flow and helping ease stiffness in and around the joint.
Going deeper: Tissue contains a lot of water, and water absorbs infrared light and turns it into heat. That warmth makes nearby blood vessels widen, which increases local blood flow and helps muscles and soft tissue feel looser. The warmth builds gradually and spreads inward through the tissue and circulation, which is why a session lasts 10 to 15 minutes, not a few seconds. Many people notice the stiffness easing most when they use it before moving around.
〰 Vibration Massage Therapy
Targeted vibration has long been used to relax surrounding muscles, ease tension in soft tissue, and create a soothing sensation that works alongside heat and light for full-spectrum comfort.
Going deeper: Vibration stimulates the touch receptors in your skin and muscles. One widely discussed explanation, called the gate control theory, is that these signals compete with pain signals on their way to the brain, which can make discomfort feel less intense. It also encourages tight muscles to release. Our device offers 3 vibration modes, from gentle soothing to stronger intensity massage, so you can choose a feel that is comfortable for you.
⊘ Drug-Free Relief
No pills, and nothing to metabolize or manage. Just heat, light and motion, working together, whenever you need it.
Going deeper: Nothing is swallowed, injected or absorbed, so there are no tablets to schedule around meals or other medicines. It is still not right for everyone: please read the safety guidance before use, and check with your doctor if you have diabetes, reduced skin sensation, an implanted device, or are pregnant.
How a Session Works
1. Secure the wrap
Wrap it snugly around your knee and fasten the strap.
Going deeper: Centre the device over the front and sides of the knee, where the stiffness is, and fasten the strap so it sits firmly without squeezing. You should be able to slide a finger underneath. The strap fits knees of about 21 to 24 inches. On top of your clothing.
2. Select your mode
Choose heat, vibration, red light, or a combined session.
Going deeper: If you’re new, start with the lowest heat and gentlest vibration and work up. A combined session is the most popular starting point. If any setting feels too hot or uncomfortable, turn it down or stop.
3. Relax for 10–15 minutes
Let the session run while you sit, read, or watch TV.
Going deeper: Stay comfortable and seated. The device shuts off by itself after 2 Hours, and one charge lasts up to 5 hours of use, so you don’t need to watch the clock.
4. Use daily
Consistent daily use supports the best ongoing results.
Going deeper: The warming and relaxing effect of each session is temporary, so a routine matters more than a single long session. Many people pair it with something they already do, like a morning coffee for stiff-knee mornings or an evening wind-down. Results vary.
